Scottish Highland Dress In many ways the terms "Highland Dress" is a misnomer in modern usage but let's not complicate matters with historical accuracy! Today, the term is usually employed to describe a tartan based outfit in one of three categories:
At the more formal end of the scale, a kilt, dress sporran and Prince Charlie jacket worn with a dress shirt and bow tie, is perfectly acceptable as an alternative to a dinner jacket, tuxedo or evening suit.
